CFI releases 2023 annual D&I impact report

CFI deepened its commitment to diversity and inclusion in 2023, taking strides to create a more inclusive environment. The focus on enhancing our culture, diversifying our team, and strengthening community ties has continued to move our D&I journey forward.

Workforce

As a strong community partner, CFI is among other Milwaukee nonprofit organizations that have taken MMAC’s Region of Choice pledge to work toward dismantling structural racism in the community, including diversifying our board and staff.

We strive to attract, retain and develop a diverse and engaged workforce that reflects our community using our award-winning policies and practices.

  • We have an active Diversity Team, which plans educational staff programming; employees are required to attend at least two hours of diversity education each year.
  • Each year, employees receive a Cultural Awareness Day off.

CFI has been a champion of creating a diverse workforce, and we have joined other businesses in signing the MMAC pledge to increase the number of African-American and Hispanic/Latino employees in Metro Milwaukee.

Workplace and Culture

An inclusive workplace helps attract and retain talented individuals committed to building a sustainable community. A culturally competent workplace also provides sensitive client service that achieves higher levels of client satisfaction.

Community

Collaborate with our business and community partners to champion diversity and inclusion, as well as help with the elimination of disparities, social injustice and racism. We developed and follow specific guidelines to hire women– and minority-owned certified businesses.

CFI is a proud recipient of the:
