CFI earns three-year CARF accreditation

By Candace Romano, Associate Director of Marketing

MILWAUKEE (July 11, 2022) – The Centers for Independence is honored to announce that it has been accredited by CARF for a period of three years. The following program areas received the accreditation:

• Community Employment Services: Employment Supports
• Community Employment Services: Job Development
• Community Integration
• Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation Services
• Employment Skills Training Services
• Governance Standards

The accreditation means that CFI put itself through a rigorous peer-review process and demonstrated to a team of CARF surveyors in April its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

This accreditation represents the highest level given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.

“We are extremely proud to receive CARF’s accreditation for another three years,” said Teri Zywicki, CFI president and CEO. “It demonstrates our commitment to continuous performance improvement, and accountability to the community, consumers and our stakeholders. And we are deeply indebted to our entire staff, who made this honor possible.”

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
