MILWAUKEE (June 10, 2022) – Rebecca Jackson has joined the Centers of Independence as its vice president of Home and Community Based Services.

Jackson has more than 25 years of professional experience supporting people with disabilities directly and as an advocate and in a strategic leadership capacity.

Prior to joining CFI, she was the chief program strategy officer for Aspire in Chicago, where she, coincidentally, worked in college providing support to group home residents.

“Becky’s hands-on and leadership skills speak volumes of her compassion and make her a perfect fit for this role,” said Teri Zywicki, CEO and president of CFI. “She has the demonstrated ability and dedication that will help CFI fulfill its mission of advancing total health.

Jackson said she was drawn to CFI because of our reputation and her passion for promoting partnerships that strengthen community by including all people.

“I felt like the stars were aligned,” she said. “The ability to meet quality, outcome, and operational goals with CFI and our affiliates here in Milwaukee, throughout Wisconsin, and beyond – it rings true.”

Jackson is a graduate of Lake Forest College, with a degree in psychology, and is in the process of earning a professional certificate in nonprofit/public organizational management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

She is married to husband Randy, and they have two adult children. When not working, she enjoys visiting museums, cultural events, hiking and traveling.
